This is an A4 sized panel of undyed vegetable tanned cowhide.
Carefully tanned using time honoured methods, this leather has a firm, even texture, a beautifully smooth surface and a tidy flesh side.
At 1.5-1.7mm thick, this weight of leather is ideal for making wallet outers, bank card cases and similar small items. It's also great for embossing, but if you want to carve we'd recommend choosing a slightly heavier weight.
Undyed veg tan is great for wet moulding as its fibres become malleable when dampened with warm water.
It's also very receptive to leather dyes and acrylic paints and can be treated with a surface finish such as Resolene once dyed.
