This bookbinder's awl is the perfect tool to use for traditional sewn bookbinding projects, like the one featured on Kirstie's Handmade Britain recently, on Channel 4. You can learn to make your own unique books quite simply, using just leather, quality paper and linen thread. The tools required are simple too - scissors, a safe cutting surface, ruler, a bookbinder's awl, and a nice sturdy leather needle! The bookbinder's awl is also a great multipurpose tool to have around the house, and is very similar to our Leather Marking Awl, although this one is a little bigger. This book binding awl measures 140mm (5 1/2") from end to end, with a blade length of 80mm (3") This item will of course be safely padded and wrapped for delivery!
