Artisan Leather collars and leads are hand made from start to finish, using the best English saddlery leather, usually from Sedgwicks of Wallsall.

Our collars and leads are hand stitched throughout using traditional saddlers stitch. This is a hugely important feature of a good quality collar -  Hand stitching ensures lasting strength and safety, far greater than any machine made item could offer. Tried and tested for hundreds of years, you truly cannot beat this method.

REALLY ROTTEN RIVETS!

 We believe very strongly that rivets should never be used to build a dog collar.

 A small piece of soft tubular metal is nowhere near strong enough to keep your beloved pet safe.  

Rivets are great as a decorative feature, but when it comes to strength and safety there is no substitute for the age old hand stitching methods used by saddlers for hundreds of years.
