I have a wonderful studio and shop at Cockington Court near Torquay. Here you will find a wide range of leather goods, from top quality belts to colourful and richly decorated leather handbags, covered notebooks, bracelets and much more, all hand made here in Devon.
Look out for me in the Stable Yard to the rear of Cockington Court. My shop is currently open 5 days a week from 10am to 4pm (closed Monday & Friday)

Working in the Stable Yard at Cockington Court, you will also find Glass Blowers, a Blacksmith, a Rocking Horse Maker, and an Artist Printmaker.
At the front of the manor house is a Gallery featuring local art, craft and jewellery, and adjacent to this is the restaurant & tearooms. There is also a pottery on the ground floor.
Upstairs you will find a watercolour and mixed media artist, natural soaps and toiletries, and silver and gold jewellery.
We are situated within a beautiful country park with extensive woodlands, footpaths and lakes, organic gardens, rose gardens and play area. Horse & Carriage rides also operate around the village and country park.
A visit to Cockington Court makes a wonderful day out with something for everyone including your dogs, who will have acres of woodland, parkland and pathways to enjoy, with fresh drinking water offered at several points around the court! Dogs are welcome at the Stable Yard workshops, with only the Court House itself out of bounds to dogs.
(Well behaved dogs are also welcome at the Tea Rooms.)
Cockington Court Craft Centre and Tea Rooms are open 7 days a week, all year round!

Who’s this then?
This gentleman has been standing outside the Artisan Leather workshop
for many years.
His name is George Giles, and he was game keeper to the Cockington Estate until about 1920.
These days he takes things easy, posing for photos and keeping his eye on everything!

It’s so frustrating when you have a favourite handbag, coat or rucksack, with one broken clip, buckle or rivet.
But where do you find those kind of things these days?
At Artisan Leather we have many a drawer of fixtures and fittings, we’ll try our best to find what you need, and do the repair for you if you wish.
We don’t have everything, but we do try!
