This is a 500 metre reel of bonded nylon machine sewing thread in grey.
This thickness of thread is known as a 40 weight, and is perfect for sewing everything from handbags to upholstery, on either an industrial or domestic sewing machine. It works best when teamed with a size 14 or 16 leather point sewing machine needle. (Available here at Artisan Leather)
You may find that you need to adjust your sewing machine tension if you usually sew with a thinner thread.
