This is a 500 metre reel of bonded nylon machine sewing thread in a rich red shade. (We do also have a maroon thread available - see related products below)
This thickness of thread is known as a 40 weight. It's just right for sewing handbags, leather clothing and much more, on either an industrial or domestic sewing machine. It works best when teamed up with a size 14 or 16 leather point sewing machine needle. (Available here at Artisan Leather)
You may find that you'll need to adjust your machine tension if you usually work with a lighter weight of thread.
